Chain Driven Live Roller (CDLR) Conveyors by Webb-Stiles

Chain Driven Live Roller Conveyor with dual chain loops and powered sprockets built by Webb-Stiles

Chain Driven Live Roller conveyor systems are a durable, high-capacity solution for heavy-duty material handling. Each roller is mechanically linked to the next using two separate loops of chain, forming a roll-to-roll drive system that delivers positive traction, consistent motion, and extended equipment life.

This rugged design excels in continuous-use environments where load control and uptime are critical—such as pallet handling, skids, and unitized goods in manufacturing and warehouse systems.

What makes Chain Driven Live Rollers Unique?

Drive Strength & System Longevity

Webb-Stiles CDLR conveyors are built for demanding jobs. The dual-chain roll-to-roll connection boosts drive strength, reduces slippage, and ensures reliable performance. This rugged design delivers consistent power under load—even in continuous-use environments.

Sized and Spaced to Fit the Job

Available with roller diameters from 1⅞″ to 3½″ and roller centers as tight as 3½″, CDLR conveyors can be tailored to meet your load weight, spacing, and system configuration. Standard configurations range from 4½″ to 12″ centers. Frames are offered in structural or formed steel to match duty cycle and layout needs.

Custom Integration Options

Webb-Stiles CDLR systems are often paired with auxiliary handling equipment such as turntables, pallet dispensers, chain transfers, vertical lifts, and bolsters. Custom-designed control panels—electronic, hydraulic, or pneumatic—are built in-house to ensure complete system integration.
